Continuing its long relationship with the Salvation Army's Oasis Youth Support Network, Nokia recently made a major handset donation to assist with Oasis important work with disavantaged youth.
According to Angus Jon, from Nokia's Care team which made the donation: "We wanted to help in some small way the work of the Oasis Network. For us it is helping people connect and helping people get the help and support they need when and where they need it."
"On behalf of Oasis Director, Captain Paul Moulds, our Advisory Board and staff/volunteers, please accept our heartfelt thanks for the wonderful donation of the 20 x new Nokia 3220 handsets," said Andrew White from the Oasis Youth Support Network who accepted the mobile phones.
"All the team at Nokia can take comfort from knowing you will help dedicated Oasis service/program leaders to spread their network of care even further, helping additional homeless, disadvantaged and disconnected young people, whom we help on a daily basis.
"In fact, two of the phones have been allocated already to two Oasis coordinators. This latest Nokia contribution will be extremely uplifting and make a real difference to disadvantaged young people as they try to transform their shattered lives."
