As one of the major supporters of the MobileMuster, Nokia urgers it customers to recycle any old phones they have this month and the industry will plant a new tree for each phone handed in. The MobileMuster is the official recycling program of the mobile phone industry.
In partnership with Landcare Australia, the Mobile Muster will plant a native tree for every mobile phone handed in for recycling by the end of June 2007. MobileMuster and Landcare Australia aim to plant and maintain up to 100,000 native trees which is estimated to offset the equivalent of 15,000 tonnes of carbon emissions2 or take 5,000 cars off the road.
MobileMuster has 1,900 drop-off points across Australia including Nokia Care Centres, mobile phone retailers, 160 councils and participating Sydney Credit Union and ANZ branches. To locate your nearest MobileMuster drop-off point or for further information visit
