Nokia Ovi Suite

Nokia Ovi Suite will be the only computer application offered by Nokia. Both Nokia PC Suite and Nokia Ovi Suite can be installed on the same PC. However they should not be used simultaneously.

Make sure you have installed Nokia Ovi Suite before connecting your device to your computer

To connect your Nokia device and computer, first make sure the device is switched on. Depending on what connection type you want to use and what your device and computer support, you should connect the data cable to the computer first and then connect the other end of the cable to your device, or activate the Bluetooth connection of your device. If you use a USB cable, the connection is created automatically. If you use Bluetooth, pair your device with the computer. You only have to do this the first time you connect the device via Bluetooth.

Please try the following actions to fix the problem

• Disconnect the USB cable and connect it again.
• If you use an USB hub with external power, verify it has been switched on.
• If you use an USB hub, try connecting the device directly to the computer.
• Inspect the USB cable for problems and replace if necessary.
• Verify that you have selected PC Suite USB mode in the device.
• Disconnect the cable, reboot the computer and reboot your device, and try again.

Note that connection problems may occur if you have previously unplugged USB devices without using the system tray utility for ejecting devices.

Also If a working connection suddenly stops working you can try to repair it using the functionality existing in Nokia Ovi Suite and PC Suite.

1. Go to Add/Remove programs found in control panel (called Programs in windows 7)
2. Select Nokia Ovi Suite or PC Suite installation and click Change/Remove
3. From the dialog Choose Repair

Nokia Ovi Suite or PC Suite installation is now checking the consistency of needed files and will repair errors if found

First download the Nokia Ovi Suite installer file from the www.ovi.com/suite. After the download has finished, double-click the installer file and follow the instructions.

The Software Installer application opens when you insert a Nokia device CD into the CD/DVD drive of your computer. Follow instructions to install the software you need. The progress of the installation is shown in the Status column. When the installation is finished, Nokia Ovi Suite opens automatically and you can proceed to connect your Nokia device and your computer.

This may happen if you have previously unplugged USB devices without using the system tray utility for ejecting devices. You may need to reboot both your PC and your Nokia device.

You most probably have the autoplay feature disabled on your CD/DVD Drive. If autoplay is disabled, you can navigate to your CD/DVD Drive and launch the *.exe file, which can be found root directory of the CD/DVD. No internet connection is required.
